Bella Smith

Policy Advisor
Bella, a rising senior undergraduate at Duke University, opted to take a gap year to work for ZETA as a Policy Advisor. While at Duke, she studies climate policy and critical race theory, especially as it relates to whiteness. Outside of class, Bella served as the Director of Common Ground, a social equity retreat centered around social advocacy, personal identity, and oppression and privilege. She also works side by side with community members who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness and financial insecurity through the Community Empowerment Fund. Prior to ZETA, Bella worked at Climate Reality as the Climate & Solutions Policy Intern synthesizing climate, justice, and energy-related research for Al Gore’s global trainings and wrote curriculum for and facilitated an anti-racist white working group. She also reported for INDY Week, the Research Triangle’s lead progressive independent newspaper.

About ZETA

National policies to support 100% electric vehicle sales.

The Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) is a federal coalition focused on advocating for 100% EV sales by 2030. Enacting policies that drive EV adoption will create hundreds of thousands of jobs, secure American global EV manufacturing dominance, drastically improve public health, and significantly reduce carbon pollution.
