With nearly a decade of political, public, and private sector government affairs experience, Dan has developed public policy and communications strategies for a range of political candidates, national nonprofits, and public affairs campaigns. Prior to joining ZETA, Dan served as a Director of Public Policy & Advocacy at the Alzheimer's Association where he spearheaded multiple state and national legislative and policy communications campaigns. Most notably, quarterbacking the passage of a landmark 2018 law —the Massachusetts Alzheimer's & Dementia Act — which has served as model healthcare policy for dementia care and support across the country. In this role, Dan helped lead the legislative advocacy strategy on a number of successful federal policy initiatives concerning public health and healthcare access and advancing critical research funding at the National Institutes of Health. Dan cut his teeth in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts' politics and worked as a consultant at one of New England's leading public affairs firms, Demers & Prasol, Inc. where he managed strategic government affairs and issue advocacy solutions for a variety of companies and campaigns. Dan recently served as the New Hampshire Political Director for now-Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of New Hampshire, and a Master of Arts in Political Management & Public Relations from George Washington University.
