Madison McCaffrey
Policy Intern
Madison McCaffrey graduated with highest distinction from UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2020 with BAs in American History and American Studies and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. Her policy area of interest is environmental policy, especially as it relates to environmental justice. She recently completed pro-bono consulting for a local non-profit to aid in their green strategic plan by researching and presenting on implementable sustainability practices. In addition to her policy classes, she has also taken classes on multilateral environmental negotiations and environmental law. She hopes to work in the energy sector, advocating for equitable and sustainable policies that address the climate crisis.
