This year, during National Drive Electric Week, the Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) is inviting everyone to share their EV sightings using the #EVsInTheWild hashtag. Since electric vehicle (EV) sales have skyrocketed year-over-year, with some states experiencing double-digit sales volumes in their markets, we should show the wider world what it looks like to see them “everywhere.” After all, seeing EVs in our neighborhoods and on our streets is a sure sign of progress towards a cleaner, greener future.
All you have to do is use the #EVsInTheWild hashtag when you post photos of electric vehicles in everyday settings - whether they're napping on the street, hanging out in a garage, or cruising by for a midday run. The more creative, the better!
ZETA is calling on everyone from advocates and policymakers to private companies, drivers and riders to participate in National Drive Electric Week, from September 22 to October 1, 2023.
Take a picture and write what you see, then stamp on #EVsInTheWild and post on your preferred social media channel.
If you own, lease, or are renting an EV, you can also use the hashtag to tout your experience. Remember to be creative!

National Drive Electric Week
National Drive Electric Week, Sep 22-Oct 1, 2023, is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. Historically, National Drive Electric Week has had more than 200 events including parades, ride-and-drives, electric tailgate parties, and information booths across the country each year—giving curious local residents, as well as advocates, a place to gather to experience and promote electric vehicles (EVs).
